Fashion for Africa
Northern Ireland charity Friends of Africa recently staged a fashion show entitled ‘Fashion for Africa’ to raise funds for their projects in Africa. The style was brought to the catwalk by boutiques in the Newry and Mourne including Berling, Silk, The Dress House and Irish designer Sharleen McCaffery. Down rose Nicole Curran and UTV’s Malachi Cush hosted the stylish event which took place in the Canal Court Hotel, Newry. Auction items on the night included two signed Irish Rugby jerseys, a beautiful Joanne Hynes dress donated by Sharon Corr and a stunning headpiece by milliner Claire Ann Lawler. All of the money raised at the glamorous event will go directly to the charity’s projects in Zambia, South Africa and Tanzania.
