Banbridge student crowned the first ever Clubworld Travel Miss Ulster
A debate of a very different kind took place at Stormont Parliament buildings where politicians and a panel of judges deliberated over who would become the first ever Clubworld Travel Miss Ulster recently when a unanimous vote saw Banbridge beauty, Courtenay Fitzpatrick walk away with the title.
The 20 year old Occupational Therapy student battled it out with 13 other hopefuls in a bid to walk away with thousands of pounds worth of prizes including a covershoot with Northern Woman in 2012 alongside a modelling contract with The Style Academy, a modelling contract a five star holiday compliments of Jet2.com to Grande Real Santa Eulalia Hotel in the Algarve, flights to Las Vegas from American Holidays, teeth whitening from HEBE clinic and a year’s free LA Tan.
The stunning Justine Skelton from Lurgan and Clodagh Mellon from Newtownabbey took second and third places respectively at the event which was hosted by CityBeat’s Mark Lima was attended by politicians, local business men and women alongside finalists’ friends and family and respected members of the press who were treated to a wine and canapé reception and goodie bags compliments of Debenhams, NeoStrata and Botanica Skincare.
Guests also enjoyed a catwalk show when the Miss Ulster hopefuls paraded autumn / winter ‘11/’12 fashion trends with heritage casuals from Yoke in Belfast, sumptuous footwear from Shoe La La in Glengormley, glamour and festive sparkle from Debenhams, smart/casual wear from Pollini boutique in Moira and celebrated local designers based in Proof and Christopher O’Reilly. Hair was styled by Zuni Hairdressing and makeup compliments of Oonagh Boman’s Elite Team.
Belfast Metropolitan College Students customised Unite Against Hate t-shirts into awe-inspiring designs and the winner of the overnighter at The Park Plaza Hotel was Senan O’Neill.
