Victoria Square serves up Spring Style at the Merchant

Style aficionados across Northern Ireland are in for a sweet treat next month, when Victoria Square takes residence in the luxurious Merchant Hotel for a series of opulent spring fashion shows served with sumptuous champagne afternoon tea and elegant evening champagne and canapés.

On Friday 2nd March, the fashion-forward ‘Le Soirée de Mode’ shows will transform the Rita Duffy Suite at the Merchant Hotel into a chic showcase of stunning spring style from Victoria Square’s irresistible retailers.

A fashion show with a difference, guests will be treated to bubbles and afternoon tea at 3pm or champagne and canapés at 6pm, throughout which they will be taken on a journey of style that introduces all the glamour of spring 2012.

Rebecca McKinney, personal stylist at Victoria Square has curated the unique ‘Le Soirée de Mode,’ show, styling up the season’s most sophisticated looks for men and women with the latest collections from Victoria Square retailers including House of Fraser, Cruise, Reiss, Ted Baker, Hobbs, L.K. Bennett, Coast, Lunn’s, River Island, Kurt Geiger and Dune. Commenting on the inspiration behind the show, she said:

“The decadent designer launch events of the 2012 spring/summer season saw top fashion houses Chanel and Louis Vuitton wow guests with true fashion spectacles and these have certainly inspired our ‘Le Soirée de Mode,’ shows. Spring has officially sprung at Victoria Square and this year, pretty is back; with Ice Queen and sugared almond palettes to suit everyone’s fashion fancy. Vintage is set to hit the high street, so prepare to experience the girliest of springs at this, the most decadent of fashion occasions. For men, this season is all about suave suiting teamed with pastel shades and ‘Le Soiree de Mode’ will feature an array of top spring looks for guys on the runway.

Following an exclusive press preview, two public shows will be held at 3pm and 6pm respectively in The Merchant Hotel’s Rita Duffy Suite.
