The Best Dressed Ladies at Down Royal

Ladies in their brightest finery flocked to Down Royal this month where one Victoria Corr from Galbally, County Tyrone dressed her way to Miami and a Caribbean cruise after receiving the accolade of Magners Best Dressed in a red bell sleeved pencil dress and hat by Laura O’Hanlon Millinery.

Competition was fierce at this, one the most stylish events in Ireland’s racing calendar. Innovative headpieces, glamorous heels and brave colours paraded around the track of oblivious horses in blinkers. The judges however; Rebecca McKinney, Pete Snodden, Diane McStay, Julia Galbraith, Magners brand manager and Ulster Tatler’s Nuala Meenehan had their eyes peeled in scouting the very best of the day’s style which was copious.

Ulster Tatler’s own judge was among those dressing to impress, matching a vintage pillar box hat in marigold to her vintage floral tea dress and bag by Chanel. Her hat, as many other hats on the day, celebrated small Irish designers, provided by Laura McPolin at the Walk in Wardrobe Banbridge.

INTRODUCING COLLAGEN LIFT™ PARIS

The team behind the award winning Professional Tanning brand He-Shi, are delighted to introduce the latest innovation in skincare – Collagen Lift™ Paris.

Collagen Lift™ Paris is a daily collagen drink that is easily absorbed by the body and has been clinically proven in trials in Germany and France to increase collagen densities, reduce wrinkles by up to 50% and increase skin elasticity and hydration.

Collagen Lift™ Paris is further enhanced with Mediterranean seaweed extract and Vitamin C making it a potent source of anti-ageing collagen, minerals and antioxidants.

Collagen is a critical component of skin, providing structure and elasticity to keep it looking plump and youthful. With age, collagen breaks down and over time the body’s capacity to regenerate collagen reduces – a double whammy for ageing skin!

Collagen Lift™ Paris provides healthy and younger looking skin by working from the inside out.   Combined with a personalised professional skincare regime, it actively improves the appearance and long-term health of the skin. By using an SPF based facial moisturiser as prescribed by a skincare professional and making good lifestyle choices such as a balanced diet, both contribute to the effectiveness of the clinically proven results Collagen Lift™ Paris delivers.

Collagen Lift™ Paris comes in a user-friendly ampoule to be taken in the morning diluted in water or juice, packaged in a one-month supply and compared to most other face care regimes, is a simple one-step process with incredible long-lasting results.

He-Shi co-founder, Hilary McMurray said, “We are delighted to be able to bring such an exciting and truly innovative product to Ireland and the UK. The results really do speak for themselves – I’ve been using Collagen Lift myself now for a number of weeks now and am amazed at how much younger-looking my skin appears – my complexion is much brighter, redness is reduced and the fine lines and wrinkles around my eyes are much less prominent.”

Collagen Lift™ Paris (28 ampoule box) RRP £68.

Collagen Lift™ Paris is available from salons and department stores nationwide or by visiting www.collagenliftparis.uk

Walk of Life Fashion Show at the Crowne Plaza

The (CAT)Walk of Life Fashion Show was the brainchild of Julie Duckworth-Fitzsimmons in partnership with Cathy Martin, after the success of the Fifty over Fifty show at Belfast Fashion Week in 2016.

Julie’s unique, 1980s-themed event was dedicated to her Mother and Father John and Sheila Duckworth who both sadly had passed away from illnesses. She wanted to fundraise for the two charities close to her heart – and their illnesses; The Boom Foundation and Parkinson’s UK.  She enlisted a group of 16 models from the 1980s era and together with Cathy, they produced the show to a backdrop of popular music from that era, with a twist of 80s in the styling and event entertainment such as ghost actors dressed in 80s vintage dress, milling around two Delorean Cars displayed at the front of the hotel, an 80s retro film and a classic 80s disco hosted by Pete Snodden from Cool FM.

Many celebrities  supported the event by taking part in the catwalk or creating support messages via video – names such as Eamonn Holmes, Jamie Dornan, Nick Kershaw, Jimmy Nesbitt, Nuala McKeever, Peter Corry, Pamela Ballentine and May McFettridge all lent a hand, as well as Dame Mary Peters, Paul Clark, Tim McGarry, Big T, Caroline Fleck, Paddy Jenkins, Alison Fleming, Patience Bradley and Jim Dornan. They all gave their time for free and added the wow factor to the show.

There were many sponsors, donors, retailers and media who all added quality elements to the event, which saw 550 guests attending and £10,000 raised for the charities. Watch out for Walk of Life 2, in 2018!

Check out our June issue for more coverage of this event.
