15th December 2009: Images of Belfast were broadcast recently to over 4 million viewers across The Netherlands, after one of the country's most popular reality TV programmes, Boer zoekt Vrouw (meaning The Farmer Wants A Wife), used the city as its film location.

Organised by Tourism Ireland in The Netherlands in conjunction with Belfast Visitor & Convention Bureau, the TV crew spent three days shooting footage around the city - which included the Titanic Quarter, the Belfast Wheel, some of our historical pubs, a Black Taxi tour of the city as well as the Merchant and Ten Square hotels.

The result was a 50-minute programme, broadcast on national TV station KRO1. Boer Zoekt Vrouw is a very popular TV dating show, with total viewership figures of over 4 million and 220,000 viewers via the internet.
